#Wordle is doing two things very correctly. It is simple to play and exceptionally easy to promote on Twitter dot com. This promotion manages to ride the exceptionally thin line between efficacy and constant irritation, which it manages to do through its daily puzzle release cadence. By offering a single puzzle a day, Wordle prevents dedicated players from totally plastering your feed with Wordle results. It also prevents player burnout, keeping them from bingeing too many puzzles in a day.#

Google may be looking for a way out of its Legacy G Suite shutdown issues. According to a survey the company has posted to its Workspace documentation, “more options” might be coming for some customers using the soon-to-be-dead free plans. Nothing is being offered yet, but the company is at least paying more attention to those affected by the change.#

#Sometime between 1922 and 1929 a deviation line was built from just north of Kuala Lumpur station (by the old junction for Sultan Street) to a point across the Gombak River from Campbell Road (now Jalan Dang Wangi I think) to the north of Bank Negara. This was a double track line and ran through a tunnel a little way to the west of the old Residency station. The old alignment is now buried beneath Jalan Kuching / Jalan Hishamuddin. The old line is shown well on a 1908 KL map, the proposed deviation is shown on a poor 1922 map and the new line is shown well on a 1929 map.#

#Out of all of Samsung's fun customizations in One UI and its Galaxy phones, the dynamic lock screen is low-key one of my all-time favorites. With other phones, I often forget how easily bored I can get with the standard lock screen options, but this dynamic feature automatically updates all the time in the background and gives me a pleasant surprise each time.#

#“March 2020 is about the biggest shift imaginable,” [Steven Schragis] recalls. “Here we are in 61 cities across the country—live events, groups of professors, always exclusively having a newspaper in that city as our partner, in any given week five or six or seven events, moving around the country and betting on touring events and coordinating travel—and suddenly, March 2020, everything stops.”#

“There was about a six-week period where we figured out this concept,” he explains, noting that there was a learning-on-the-fly period where the company learned that the multi-professor approach it used during live events made less sense than having learners engage with a single professor. “We launched in April, but we really didn’t have our act together until May.”

#Some of them sport an awesome backstory to enjoy along with the puzzle games (Homescapes, Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells), some are more fast-paced puzzles-only match 3 games (Bejeweled Blitz, PEKO POP), and there are some which made their way to our list quite unexpectedly (Best Fiends, Crunch Time).#

#I think what we're doing is substantially different. The focus of my projects tends to be in publishing and tools for development. I see their product as being useful in that context, but I don't think there's a big conflict. If we are able to co-exist with products that support OPML, surely we can do the same with Markdown.#
If any additional features are needed in Drummer's support for MD, they must be driven by an actual interop use-case, nothing theoretical or nice-to-have-for-the-future. That's not enough to extend the format. It has to be about creating utility in the interop between the products, driven by actual use.#
It's a very small subset of Markdown. I don't think it makes sense to use the .md extension, but that's what LogSeq uses, so we will too, for now.#
