- I was always proud of being an early sign-up on Twitter, hearing about it being rolled out that first year at SXSW, and then I got to explain it to my friends, but I've always been more a lurker than a poster, though i did manage to hit 200 posts. Don't know if that will change on Mastodon, but I'm jazzed by the new post-Elon energy here, and love de-corporatized. Over an even longer span I've been a fan of Dave Winer (since Thinktank) and Scripting News, now including #Drummer and #Feedland, so the #RSS nature of Mastodon is also very sexy. I used to have a blog on Radio Userland, and its main feature was a booklist: all the books I'd read year by year since I was eleven. That document which was my first foray into web presence has dematerialized, but the list still exists, along with lots of other books in my library, on #LibraryThing (dhm). Just retiring from a #nonprofits career in #SanFrancisco, and looking forward to even more time wasted on social. Some additional tags: #books, #reading, #quaker, #buddhism, #bicycling, #design, #music, #sciencefiction, #SF, #macos, #outlining. If I was super-diligent I would search each of those tags on Mastodon to see if they were well-formed (remember WFF-n-Proof?) but not just now... More to come, I suppose.#
