- Since beginning to use Drummer I've always wanted to honor Dave Winer's request for well-formed bug reports, but I've also chafed at the amount of work that takes, and at the moderate risk of provoking irritation at an inadequately useful one. The result has been at least a slight inhibition in posting all the interesting-to-me-but-incompletely-understood observations I've made in my daily use of Drummer and Electric Drummer.#
- Today's quirk has to do with the two programs' seeming use of the same file called Bookmarks.opml, along with the observation that changes I make to the Bookmarks tab in E/D show up in Drummer, but not the reverse. I've played with this a lot over the last few days, and it appears consistent (I do not consider this a bug, BTW, just an odd occurrence which I haven't even investigated in the Finder, which I have the ability to do, but not the motivation. I.e. It's interesting at a surface level and I'm ok with it; there are other features of Drummer which I'm more concerned to report on in this same fashion, now that I've (hopefully) forged this rebellious path for myself. #
- I'm feeling emboldened, in other words. I'm forgetting exactly in what context that word suddenly blossomed in the talkosphere, something to do with Iraq or Afghanistan: one day no one had heard that word and the next day you couldn't read an article that didn't use it. There are other words like that, and I'd like to think of a good term for them.#
