I added a new script to
my shared Drummer scripts that opens a Drummer user's blog in a new browser tab. If you create a toolbar icon to publish your blog you may find the site doesn't open in a browser tab after being published. I created this script to easily open the blog from the Scripts menu.

Woke up to the coldest temps to date and it is currently 41 degrees outside. Winter is coming.
#
- Will Apple ever have another live event? Steve Jobs auditorium becomes a museum? #
- Music and the Mac. How many people really care about what Apple has to say about music? #
- A plan for accessing music via voice? I guess they don't want to call it the cheap plan. But looks like you can't make your own playlists? Seems to me Spotify is better.#
- So, Siri & Home Pod is now on par with Alexa/Echo and Google Home? Seems too "me too" for Apple.#
- Airpods Gen 3#
- Spatial audio#
- Looks like the stem is shorter#
- New low distortion driver #
- Adaptive EQ #
- The coolest thing about Airpods is how it connects to multiple Apple devices. Apple needs to do this with the Pencil. #
- Costs $179. Second generation still being sold for $129. #
- Macintosh#
- M1Pro chip#
- 200 GB/sec memory bandwidth; 3x faster M1#
- Billions and billions of transistors#
- 70% faster CPU performance than M1#
- M1 Max chip#
- Builds on M1Pro#
- 400 GB/sec memory bandwidth. 6x faster M1#
- I wonder how hot these chips run? #
- 14-inch and 16-inch Macbook Pros with same features. #
- Macbook Pro has fans, Apple claims shouldn't turn on too much and is quiet#
- Full function key row, replacing magic/touch bar#
- More ports: HDMI, 3 Thunderbolt 4, SD Card slot, headphone jack #
- Magsafe 3, can also charge via Thunderbolt#
- 120 Hz refresh with ProMotion. Mini LED#
- Camera "notch" at the top; cuts menubar in half. This will be controversial. Full HD camera. #
- 14-inch Macbook Pro: $1999; 16-inch Macbook Pro: $2499. Order today, available next week#
- I think the leaks covered everything announced today, short of a "pro" version of the Mac Mini. #
- These Macs are way out of my price range, but I am not surprised by this. I was hoping that maybe the new Pros would push the price of lower end models lower although I imagine Apple really wants to keep their lowest price Macbook around $1,000.#
