The most interesting part of the news that Google may release the Pixel 9a in March, 2025, is that they intend to release a 9a and the 10a a year later, as there has been rumors about Google dropping the lower cost "A" series all together. I bought a Pixel 7a last year and it is supposed to get seven years of Android updates, so unlike prior models, Android currency will not force me to replace the 7a any time soon. However, I suspect that most of the newest AI features that Google will release for the Pixels may not make it to the 7a because of its older processor and more limited RAM. I think Google providing Android updates to phones much longer than before makes the decision of when to replace a Pixel phone more interesting. #
