People like to dunk on ivermectin (or as standup comics and news anchor wannabies like to call it:
"the horse dewormer"). But there are legitimate uses for ivermectin in humans, including preventing
Strongyloides stercoralis hyperinfection in immunocompromised patients. We routinely gave it to patients with adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL) — a disease which compromises you immune system — coming from the Caribbean — area of prevalence for both HTLV-1, the virus that causes ATLL, and strongyloides, the worm which requires treatment with ivermectin. Calling it a "horse dewormer" may be a bit offensive in that context, no?

Sure everyone is talking about
Dune, but what about
Inside Job? The first two episodes are brilliant if a bit scatological, and if Alex Hirsch's
prior work is anything to go by, the best is yet to come.
