Just one little adjustment is all I need
#
- For as long as I can remember, I have been a tweaker. I've always tweaked things. I'd spend days or weeks with a new piece of software, reading manuals and forums and blog posts about it. I'd adjust every dial I could find. Then I'd jump into the forums or Github and ask for more dials. This is why apps like Tinderbox and Emacs and TiddlyWiki resonate with me. Their fiddle factor is off the charts.#
- Something has changed lately. I haven't been fiddling as much. I kind of just want to use the software that I use. It's fine the way it is. Spending half of my days wandering around in the weeds of configuration and process hasn't been as interesting. #
- This Drummer blog, for example. I mean, I want things, but nothing is important enough to me yet that it justifies an RFC. I'm just enjoying typing into an outline and letting it do its thing. I realize this isn't helpful to others or to Dave with developing the product, but for now I'm happy just riding along. I hope that's OK.#
