We have our extended family Christmas get together today as we couldn't do it in December due to illness running through everyone. #

Created a mini "claw" AI assistant that uses Simon Willison's LLM cli for interfacing with large language models. I am using the free Ollama cloud models although I may bump up to the $20/month plan. My assistant is running on an 8GB Raspberry Pi 5 sitting on my desk in my home office. Currently the only way to interact with it is through a Telegram bot I created but since I have Tailscale running on the Pi I'm looking to make a command line interface that I can access on my iPad Pro using the Blink Terminal app. I'm having a blast!. #

Created my first personal AI assistant last night and discovered the pitfalls of using commercial LLMs like Claude - the cost!! I'm am definitely going to rewire everything to use Ollama to us both local and cloud models.#

Continued work on the TUI data schema today.#

Worked quite a bit yesterday on creating an OpenClaw "clone" using Pydantic AI and Telegram. Very interesting!#

Back to building out the database schema for the TUI project I am working on. Also plan to explore installing OpenClaw on one of my Raspberry Pi 5 boxes.#

Spent all afternoon and evening installing new accessories for my daughter's xTool P2S Laser Cutter. We added the Riser Base and the Conveyor Feeder so she can now design and cut her own wood for custom mosaic projects. Very cool!#

Going down to my daughter's studio today to install additional accessories for the laser cutter.#

During a meeting yesterday I discovered there is a lot more to the database structure I need to build that I hadn't been made aware of yet. Keep digging...#

Yesterday my 2021 Subaru Forester's battery suddenly died in the middle of this winter surge. It was almost 5 years so I wasn't surprised! Luckily it happened in my driveway and AAA was able to come after about a 5 hour wait and give me a replacement!#
