- Turn off Smart Punctuation on the keyboard, or else you will never be able to quote a string properly when writing any drummerscript or whatever this language is called. Unless there's a way to manually type straight quotes from the keyboard, maybe that works, but I couldn't figure it out. Typing the standard option-quote gets me Æ and æ instead of curved quotes, so maybe I'll just go with straight quotes everywhere for the time being. This might be annoying, but it's probably not limited to Drummer.#
- Possible roots for names for Drummer's scripting language:#
- Tap, Bang, Riff, Thump#
- Stick, Cymbal, Ride, Hi Hat, Drumkit, Tomtom#
- Snare, Kick#
- Backbeat, Groove#
- Mallet#
- I like Drumkit, so that's what I'll call it for now, until Dave picks something better: Turn off smart punctuation or you won't be able to deal with strings in Drumkit.#
- Update: See here for additional context.#
