- I'd like a number, an educated guess from a few thoughtful observers. Someone in information science could provide more than a guess. Folks could use this number in organizing. The number answers this question:#
- If some people 1) share a serious interest in a particular issue, 2) and naturally keep their eyes out for new things published on their issue, 3) reading or scanning what they find and 4) then posting links with at least a quick descriptive note, then . . .#
- How many such people does it take, if you aggregate their postings, to create a pretty solid weekly overview of new publications on the shared issue? #
- Obviously, a single reader can curate a list of this kind for personal use in daily web reading, and an organized group can use various tools to aggregate the reading/posting they do naturally into a product for others. Usually they don't, though.#
