Album of the Day: Joni Mitchell - Blue#
This sounds like an album recorded by a school music teacher during her lunch break. A little harsh maybe, but I couldn't be doing with her warblings today. I wanted something a little more uplifting, and preferably without all the endless storytelling as well. I lost interest after three tracks. And yeah - that voice. It doesn't half grate.#

🔑 I managed to book a locksmith for South Lambeth Road with perfect timing. I would have just enough time to travel back from a school day over in SE19, yet he would arrive before the out of hours cost kicks in.#
🍂 There was no bicycle ride over to SE19. It was one of those wet and thoroughly unpleasant autumn mornings. It was also a morning for stomping around the mean streets of Sunny Stockwell in my Dr Martens. I'm pretty obsessive about rain with most of my other footwear. Not so the DMs. These are put aside for days when you don't give a shit. I didn't give a shit on Thursday.#

My footsteps en route for the No.3 bus led me through the Stockwell Conservation area. This truly is cheek by jowl living; multi-millionaire town houses, with estates only a few streets away. Back in 2000 we actually viewed a property here that had access to a private outdoor pool. It was the private outdoor pool that pricked my interest, rather than the pokey flat. We could just about afford it at the time, but the service charge for the pool would have sunk us.#
🏫 I had a decent day in SE19. The trick is not to ponder the enormity of the school as I attempt to work my way round from Nursery through to the sixth form. Get your head down, one class at a time.#
📷 I had a mild panic when my f717 was showing flakey results. The colours were flat and pale. I wasn't sure if it was the screen or the camera sensor. I pressed on. I found out later in the day when I had the opportunity to upload that it's just the screen not quite flushing out the bright colours. Phew.#
🔒 And then soon it was time to board the No. 3 bus again. I was back at base in time for the locksmith. A new lock is needed. It's going to be costly, but I don't see it as my money when it's the freehold management company that is coughing up. A false economy for sure, but we need a new lock anyway. The decent locksmith fella is returning early tomorrow morning to fit it.#
🌳 I caught up with the Shut Up and Show More Football Forest podcast. There's a half decent interview with Ryan Yates. He's been my Player of the Season so far.#
🤦 Oh - I see another Weird Wiv Town Councillor has resigned. Again.#
