- In the last two days, emails asking for money for one candidate in the Georgia run-off election for U. S. Senate have come to the main tab of my email account. I don't live in or near Georgia.#
- It's just a little clue, one among so many other clues, to how corrupted by money our national elections have become. Read the news and you hear amounts of money mentioned, mostly tens of millions of dollars. Thanks, Congress, political parties, billionaires, Supreme Court, y'all are corrupt bums who won't fix the most obvious things when they're broken.#
- Earlier today someone on social media wrote that in this century our country must become a multi-racial democracy where everyone's participation matters, and where the economy isn't rigged in favor of the insiders, or the country will never be honestly called a democracy again. Hard to argue with that.#
- My reading of Mr. Pence is that once things went from extremely bad for the country to terrifyingly bad for both him and the country he was finally able to do the right thing on January 6th, and once it was time to aim toward the next national election he went from mainly shifty-eyed silences to miraculously being able once again to speak in public. That's not an entirely proud record, in my view.#
- Here in Indiana, when he was governor, the main reason he was not quite as bad as that was that the stakes were lower. There were fewer chips on the table. He was bad enough here, and we could go into that. We thought we had successfully ended his political career here. But we were wrong.#
